Downtown Sandusky Cedar Point Historical Museum

 The Downtown Sandusky Cedar Point Historical Museum acts as repository for thousands of items which vary in nature and range in time of over almost 150 years. The display, both physical and audiovisual in nature is sure to rekindle fond memories, ignite loving emotions and educate as to the rich heritage of the Cedar Point peninsula. This historical and unique exhibit is located in downtown Sandusky and included at no additional cost with your admission to the Merry-Go-Round Museum.

Our Exhibits

 Visitors to the Cedar Point peninsula have collected memorabilia, artifacts, pictures, videos, and keepsakes. The Downtown Sandusky Cedar Point Historical Museum, an Ohio nonprofit corporation with IRS 501 C3 status under Sandusky CP Museum Inc., is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history and essence of the Cedar Point Peninsula.

 Take a ride through history! 

The Cedar Point Historical Museum was recently featured on PBS’s Scenic Stops & Stories, highlighting Sandusky’s rich legacy of fun, innovation, and amusement history. The segment showcases the museum’s mission to preserve and share the stories behind Cedar Point’s past, from its earliest attractions to its evolution as one of America’s most iconic amusement parks.
